WINNERS IN NYC 35th WATER RESOURCE CONTEST
Once again, students of the Art Department participated in annual New York City Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) 35th annual Water Resources Art and Poetry Contest. This year, we focused on our up and coming Sophomore Honors artists to take on the challenge of this contest. Similar to last year, we once again have two winners, what they call WATER CHAMPIONS. This year’s winners are Seunghwa Woo and Sophia Leslie, who were selected for their outstanding artworks.
Their entries were beautifully executed and shows a genuine understanding of, and appreciation for, New York’s water resources. More than 1,300 exceptional pieces of artwork and poetry were received from watershed and New York City students this year. To be chosen out of so many students is an honor!
We are very proud of their accomplishments! Congratulations!

La Salle Virtual Art Expo 2021
Once again, our students participated in La Salle Academy’s 32nd Annual Art Competition. Similar to us, their Art Show was also virtual. Listed below are the Winners and Honorable Mentions chosen from our school in three main categories; Color, Black & White and Graphic Art. It is a gratifying experience to have our students see what other artists like themselves are creating and to see their work appreciated from others in the Art community. We are very proud of our artists and greatly thank Ms. Mollie O’Mara, Chairperson for the Art Department of La Salle Academy, for inviting us to participate!
