Drawing From Life is a semester long class in which students create daily and nightly drawing of the human figure. Before they learn how to draw the figure, they must understand the skeletal and muscular system. To have a good understanding of the figure helps one to draw more accurately. Through various techniques and mediums, the students explored how to represent the figure and their own self-portraits, (Which were done every weekend with various topics in mind.), in creative and expressionistic ways. For most students, the art work created is used for their future portfolios to bring for Art College visits and reviews.
